Think for a moment, about a typical day in your life. Close your eyes and see it. Breathe it. Hear it. Taste it. Feel it.

Now think about all the people you encounter. How many of them do you actually see? More than ten? Really? Are you being honest with yourself?

For me, I can probably count the number of people I see on any given day using my fingers. Maybe a toe for some bonus points. All too often, we’re so self-absorbed, thinking about what we’re going to do next, what work we need to do, what to eat for lunch, that we don’t even notice the world around us, the wonders of daily life.

I’m striving to change that. I’m embarking on my own Project 365.

Traditionally, Project 365 is an endeavor to take a photo each day for a year. An impressive feat for sure; I have a friend that’s on his own mission right now. I’ve never been one to love the camera. Instead, my 365 will be to write a blog entry every day, but more than that, tell a story each day. Because this is my life. And I’ll be damned if I’m so boring that I can’t find a single thing to write about on any given day.

Edit: Yet nothing gold can stay.. I made it close to 200 before the flame flickered out and I lost inspiration. This remains a blog for myself to capture the little bits of inspiration that comes to me. I work as a marketing professional in the software industry by day, salsa dancer by night, these thoughts are my own, and may touch on both spheres.
